Fishing Reports

September - 2017 Fishing Report

Big bull reds are showing up on the calmer days in the Banana River and elsewhere in the Lagoon system. Look for these large breeding fish to continue thru September and into the month of October if calm days continue. If the days appear to be windy and you are unable to spot the breeding fish, you should consider the Indian and Mosquito Lagoons as a better alternative to more traditional fishing.

Fishing Forecast

September - 2017 Fishing Forecast

Here we go! It's September and the Banana River is cooling down and the fall mullet run will start. It's a great time to fish the Banana because the fish are looking to get those extra calories before the winter sets in. Food is plentiful and so ar the gamefish during September so count on good numbers of fish and a mix of several species. Redfish, snook, sea trout and tarpon along with jacks, ladyfish and sharks on the Banana River Lagoon as we approach start the fall. The winds tend to try and pickup in September, but it's often mild and calm for days and sometimes longer. Look for the early morning and late evening bite to be the best and then things to be slower in the mid-day.

TripAdvisor Review

Review / Trip Advisor

Inshore and Offshore Charter Fishing near Orlando and Cocoa Beach, Florida. Catch redfish, sea trout, tarpon, snook and many other saltwater gamefish aboard the world famous Lagooner flats fishing boat with renowned Captain Richard Bradley.

This guy knows how to fish - My wife and I booked a trip with Logooner fishing guilds and had a wonderful day fishing with Captain Richard. I booked the trip with Captain Gina who explaind what to expect on the fishing trip, Gina was very plesant from the moment she answered the phone and made me feel like our trip was important to them. She me that Captain Richard was a life time resident of the area and spent his entire life fishing the River and and Atlantic .From the time we got onto the boat with Captain Richard we knew we had booked with a guild who had a knowledge of the river and the different species of fish and knew where to find them. We spent the day catching Red fish and trout and needless to say had a blast. Even if we had not caught a lot of fish we would still book with Captain Richard because he gives it his all and is just a fun guy to spend the day on the water with. Thanks Captain Richard
